Yemen .. a fire devouring the tents of the displaced in Hodeidah

A human rights activist in Hodeidah said that a huge fire “broke out in the Al -Jisha camp in the coastal city of Al -Khokha, which is bound by the legitimate government, south of the province, which led to great material losses in the camp, which includes approximately 1,200 displaced families. ”
Numerous displaced families, she noted, were “out in the open after losing their tents and belongings in the fire, whose causes are still unknown.

Without mentioning any casualties among the residents, the Al-Hodeidah Governorate Information Office stated in a statement that “the fire devoured 60 tents completely and damaged dozens of nearby homes.”

The governor of Hodeidah requested emergency aid for those impacted by the fire, which severely damaged much of the camp, from the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Work, the UAE Red Crescent, the national resistance’s humanitarian cell, and the humanitarian organisations operating in the governorate.
Al -Jisha camp is the largest camp for the displaced in Hodeidah, most of which are subject to the Houthis..
