Short train ride ends in drug trafficking charges for Kingston, Ont. man

On Thursday night, Brockville Police made an unexpected arrest.
Officers arrived at the VIA Rail station at around 9:00 p.m. after learning that a man would be leaving the train with drugs in his possession.
Police claim that after the train arrived, they detained a 56-year-old Kingston man. A subsequent search revealed that he was in possession of drugs with a street value of $6,000, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.

He was charged with possession of fentanyl and methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking and fail to comply with probation. He was detained pending a bail hearing.
