You have been verified on Twitter, complete with a blue checkmark, to “Parody” Doug Ford Account.
One of the most recent accounts to receive verification through purchase after billionaire Elon Musk took control of the social media platform is the Twitter account with the handle @Dougford on.
Since 2009, the Platform has used the Blue Check Verification System to ensure that users of High-Profile and Public-Facing Accounts are who they claim to be.
However, since Musk changed the rules, Verification can now be purchased for $8 per month.

A Look at The Parody Account Aimed at the Ontario Premier Confirm It Received Verification Because It’s Subscribed To The New “Twitter Blue” Service.
Musk, who has become known as the “Chief Twit,” stated on Thursday evening that any parody account “must include” parody “in their name, not just in bio.”

However, @Dougford on was still active as of Friday morning and didn’t have the word “parody” in its name.
However, the account’s bio did state that it is a parody: “This is a Parody Account.

Numerous other claims purporting to belong to famous people have also been confirmed through purchase in earlier times. Jesus himself has a blue check mark, too.
Twitter announced on Tuesday that in order to confirm the authenticity of high-profile accounts, a second, grey “Official” label will be added. Ford Nation did not have that second check as of Friday morning.
