(WBAY) – Oshkosh, Wisconsin Tony Evers, the governor of Wisconsin, returned to the region on Thursday, less than two days after his reelection.
Tim Michels, the challenger, has been defeated by nearly 90,000 votes. Four years ago in August, we wrote about Governor-elect Evers’ first trip to northeast Wisconsin following his election as governor. At the A New North Conference, Evers spoke to business and community leaders.
This time, the government visited Oaklawn Elementary School in Oshkosh as part of a return to his educational roots.
“We merely enjoy going to schools. I enjoy going to schools. That is the primary reason we are here. This school is excellent. Evers said, “Actually, I was here for the dedication; it’s good to be back in Oshkosh.
I’ve met with teachers, enquired about their backgrounds and careers, and thanked them for their commitment to the students.
The Government is Also excited to get to work on his second term.
Former teacher and state superintendent, Evers, has focused heavily on the foundation for education; he anticipates that this will continue in his next term. Along with infrastructure improvements and tax cuts for the middle class, he is also considering raising shared revenue between cities and counties.
“Tax Cuts for Sure Will Happen Because The Republicons and Democrats Are Already For That.
Additionally, I believe that during the campaign we came to the realisation that education remains a nonpartisan issue. And I am aware that counties and municipalities have been attempting to advocate for their respective revenue shares. Therefore, think that all three of those things could occur, Eves said.
“For Sure, One of the Things That We’re Going to do Differently is to increase Shared Revenue,” He Said.
“I mean, that’s kind of a wonky term, but basically what it means is money coming to the cities and counties so they can do work. And our budget proposal will include, at least in my estimation for Oshkosh, over a million dollars, which they desperately need to keep on offering their excellent services. That is one of my top priorities.
The Democratic Government you make working with politicians on both sides of the political aisle on divisive issues like reproductive rights won’t be as simple as the math homework he helped Oaklawn Students with on Thursday, but he’s optimistic a solution can be found.
