Leeds-Grenville Receives $ 8m Boost in Health-Care Funding

On Thursday, the Ontario Province invested several million dollars in healthcare in Leeds-Grenville.
MPP Steve Clark announced that the region would receive just under $8,000,000 in funding for the operation of general ambulance services, the hiring of additional paramedics, wage and cost of living adjustments, and other initiatives to meet local community needs.
In Addition to the Regional Funding Boost, The Province is Committing $ 180,000 to the Brockville General Hospital For Admission fun services.

According to Matt Wren, the candidate for mayor of Brockville, “I’m Grateful for the Continued Partnership of the Province in the Founding of this Vital Program, and the Additional Support Being Provided to Brockville General Hospital for Improving Home and Community Supports.”
According to the province, the funding will support patient flow from hospitals to more appropriate care settings and facilitate improved home and community supports by leveraging current community support services.

“It is essential that the residents of Leeds and Grenville continue to receive paramedic services of the highest caliber. We are pleased that the province has eleven again provided 50% of the Cost of this Service, Said Roger Haley, Warden for the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville..
