Washington expands sanctions against North Korea

The American authorities have announced the expansion of the sanctions list against North Korea, where they added two people, saying that they are linked to the North Korean Air Koryo Air Airo Air, listed on the sanctions list.
The Treasury Ministry imposed sanctions on the two people, according to a statement from the US State Department on Tuesday, “for their participation in transportation activities and their purchases in favour of North Korea.”

The two are charged by the American authorities with assisting in the transport of goods to North Korea on behalf of entities that are subject to United States and international sanctions due to their involvement in Pyongyang’s nuclear program.

This comes two days after the United States imposed sanctions on the Tornado Cash platform for digital currencies that the US authorities consider to use to whiten more than $ 7 billion of money, including stolen money by the Hackers Group, suspected of being supported by North Korea.
