Stabbing victim dies after being dropped off at Montreal-area hospital

Police in Longueuil, Quebec, are seeking assistance from the public after a stabbing victim who was taken to a nearby hospital and later died from his wounds.
An injured man in his 40s showed up at the Charles LeMoyne hospital on Monday around 1:30 p.m., according to police, with what appeared to be stab wounds.
A black, four-door 2011 Subaru Impreza is said to have been used to deliver the victim.

According to police, the man’s death was confirmed that evening, and an autopsy will be performed soon.
Police started looking for a crime scene, but they claim that as of Tuesday morning, the investigation was still open. Investigators haven’t ruled out that the attack took place outside of Longueuil, which is located in Montreal’s south shore.

At this point in the investigation, the person who drove the victim to the hospital is regarded as a witness, according to police.
