In the municipality of Luuk, seven of the remaining members of the Abu Sayyaf organisation stationed in Sulu Province handed over their weapons to the joint task force forces.
Their surrender was made possible, according to a statement released today, by intensive intelligence operations carried out by numerous intelligence units and deadly operations.
The M16A1 rifle, two carbine rifles, three M1 Garands, and a 38-caliber pistol were turned over by the seven submissive characters.

The 1102BDE commander, Brigadier General Giovanni Franza, received it at the Locke unit’s headquarters.
The former ASG members claim that they only needed to flee and hide from the government forces, which they were exhausted by, because of the group’s ability and the weakness of human power.
This comes as the remaining three members of the Abu Sayyaf naval group in Basilan Province surrendered.

And after the naval forces, through the 61st Navy Force, succeeded along with the joint task force – Basilan, in facilitating the surrender of Peru Ancon Abu Pero, Ridwan Jikiri Abu Park, and Abdel -Ghani Radulgani Radjuli.
The M16A1 Elisco, M16 rifle, two M16 short magazines, and 21 rounds of 5.56 ammunition were all given to the extremists.

Then they were submitted to the commander of the naval forces in the western Mindanao, Admiral Toribio Adassi Junior, at the unit headquarters at the Romulo Espaldon, Calarian, in the Zamboanga city.
Adassi claimed that the three are engaged in a number of hostilities in Basilan, particularly in the localities of Somisip, Tibo Tibo, and Al-Baraka, against the government forces.

Before being given to the joint work squad and being enrolled in the thorough local integration program, these surrenders underwent a medical examination at the Camp Navarro General Hospital 1.
