Kenya expresses its willingness to work with the International Monetary Fund to ensure sustainable economic growth

In a meeting with IMF Director Crystalina Georva on Tuesday, Kenyan President William Roto stated that his nation was prepared to cooperate with the IMF to ensure sustainable economic growth.

Roto, during the meeting, held on the sidelines of the activities of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate (COP27) in Sharm El -Sheikh, said that Kenya welcomes the support of the International Monetary Fund to build the elasticity of the Kenyan economy and ensure sustainable economic growth.
He further stated that his nation would collaborate with the IMF to combat the effects of climate change.

Roto also held bilateral talks with the President of the Slovakia Zozana Kapotova, in which he said that the Slovak companies in various sectors will contribute positively to the growth of the Kenyan economy.
“We understand the interest of the Slovak companies in the fields of energy, transportation, construction, infrastructure, water, agriculture, and technology that will significantly contribute to the economic growth of our country,” he said.
