Turkey: The new gas pipeline in the Black Sea is about to be complete

The Turkish Energy Minister revealed that 97% of the line that will bring gas from the Black Sea to Turkish land has been completed as Turkey is closer to finishing the workfall of the Skaria gas field in the Black Sea.
The pipeline extension work “has neared its finish,” according to Fateh Dunmaz, Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

The tubes are scheduled to transfer Turkish gas discoveries from the Sakaria field in the Black Sea to the Turkish land.

In August 2021, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the discovery of the largest gas field in Turkey’s history with a reserve of 320 billion cubic meters, then he returned and later announced the discovery of an additional 85 billion cubic meters of gas.
