The Minister of Planning and Economic Development participates in the launch of the second session of the International Art Forum

In the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Muhyiddin, the founder of the Egyptian presidency of the Conference of the Parties, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, officially opened the second session of the International Art Forum, which is organised by Randa Fouad, President of the International Fine Art for Development.

He explained that artists can demonstrate their existence and significantly contribute to the various sustainable development initiatives.

Al-Saeed went on to say that the World Arts Forum for Development eliminates the erroneous distinctions between art and development, views culture as a vital and effective catalyst for sustainability, and places the SDGs at the core of his message.

Al-Saeed also stated that all The artistic community in Egypt has acquired pride over the previous two years, and everyone who has actively participated in it over the years will sense that this year is different. This year is genuinely a miraculous new birth for creativity, beauty, and communication.

Al-Saeed went on to say that Egypt held a special position as a gateway to the vast and expanding global art market through the major art exhibitions, noting that the City of Arts and Culture in the new administrative capital, as well as the recently witnessed opening of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, as well as the upcoming opening of the new Egyptian Museum, will help to strengthen Egypt’s position as a global technical centre.

Al-Saeed emphasised that attaining the sustainable development goals necessitates a change in behaviours and thinking, and that the two weeks of activities would help to bring about this change. He also said that art helps to renew our internal climate for the awareness of the external climate because it helps to reorganise ideas, fix the interrupted ties with nature, or restore what has been lost from knowledge about nature. The following two will feature discussions about the potential for creating work plans and aspirations that are not only in line with the objectives set, but also with ambition, and to create the necessary flexibility during the road straightening forward. Participants are invited to attend in order to participate in the day of solutions, which falls on November 17th, with a vision.
