The Yemeni army announced today, Monday, the explosion of an arms store in a military area in Marib, as a result of its targeting of Baltasia Houthi missiles.
Without providing any other information, the Yemeni armed forces’ media department stated on Twitter that the explosion occurred in the third military region.
While Yemeni sources reported that deaths and injuries were killed and as a result of the continued explosions in the weapons store, which led to a series of explosions and violent flying of shrapnel, as well as raising terror and fear among the residents and the displaced.
To stop more victims, the authorities on their side set a curfew.
The assault is the first of its sort since the early April international ceasefire, which ended on October 2, to signal a new escalation in hostilities by the Houthi militants.
The missile attack occurs in the centre of Marib barely hours after a similar attack that targeted residents’ homes in the town of Al-Aqil in the Harib region. The number of casualties has not yet been disclosed by the authorities.
The incident also happened just after the UN representative for Yemen declared the conclusion of his trip to Riyadh to talk about the extension of the cease-fire.
As severe fighting took place on the southern and western fronts, amid the coupists’ significant losses from strikes by the Yemeni military, the Houthis have emerged from the violence since the international armistice’s failure on October 2.
