Beginning on November 6 and lasting until November 11, Donald Lu, the US assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asia affairs, travelled to Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
According to US State Department spokesperson Ned Price, this trip intends to strengthen the US commitment to each of these nations’ sovereignty, independence, and regional integration as well as to confirm the shared vision of the Central Asian region as one that enjoys luxury, security, and democracy.

The spokesman added that during the trip, the American official meets with government representatives from these nations and holds discussions about cooperation on bilateral and regional issues with the United States, as well as with representatives of civil society and cultural organisations to hold discussions on freedoms and advance the role of women, as well as discussing issues of economic stability in the region.

The spokesman mentioned the commencement of the economic adaptation programme in Central Asia, wherein the US will provide $ 25 million to improve regional trade routes, develop skilled labour, and draw outside capital to the area.
