WestJet reports that a widespread issue that resulted in cancellations and delays throughout its entire network has been fixed, but it still anticipates additional disruptions.
This morning, the airline stated that all of its systems were operational and stable, and that employees were hard at work resolving the issue.
The Calgary-based airline said yesterday the outage prevented its contact centre from accessing guest reservations.
There was no explanation given for the outage.
Despite being back online, the airline says it anticipates further disruptions as it recovers from the outage.
Additionally, it expresses regret to customers for the inconvenience.
WestJet claims the global issue has been resolved, but more interruptions are anticipated.
