Stolen truck crashes into ditch, catches fire, nearby homes evacuated: Central Huron OPP

After a truck in Central Huron, Ontario, went down a ditch and caught fire early on Saturday morning, a 22-year-old is now being charged.
OPP officers were summoned to a forested location near Kitchigami Road, west of Bluewater Highway, at around one in the morning.
According to the OPP, a stolen pickup truck slammed into some trees, fell in a ditch, and ignited a fire.
Emergency crews tried to extinguish the flames, but high winds made it difficult, causing the truck and nearby area to continue burning.

Many surrounding residences were evacuated.
Smoke inhalation was treated in one OPP officer.
According to police, the suspected driver left the area before they arrived but was later located and taken into custody.
Motor theft has been accused of by a 22-year-old.
