“Death to the dictator” .. West western Iran and security is shot back

The execution of the young Kurdish woman, Muhsa Amini, has sparked anger in western Iran, continuing a string of protests that have not stopped there since mid-September.
Many protesters took to the streets in Mariwan, a Kurdish city, today, Sunday, to voice their opposition to Nisreen Qadri’s murder and to demand the dictator’s demise.
A number of the town’s streets were also blocked off by the protesters.

According to the “International International” network, the security personnel shot live rounds at the protestors in retaliation.
In addition, school students in the region set fire to the Iranian flag, and “Women, Life, Freedom”, on the day of Qadri, who died after the security forces were beaten during the protest.

While chanting against the government, the Revolutionary Guards, and the Basij forces—who over the past few weeks have used the harshest forms of repression on the protesters—a number of students from Isfahan’s “Sheikh Bahai” University congregated in the nation’s capital.

These incidents happened as the nation prepared to witness additional protests today evening in response to appeals made by the young people in the Tehran, Larstan, and Tabriz neighbourhoods.
According to reports, protests have continued in the nation ever since Amini was assassinated on September 16 (2022), three days after the Ethics Police had arrested her.

Her passing has since stoked the flames of resentment over a number of issues, including the limitations placed on individual freedoms and stringent regulations regarding women’s attire, as well as the living and economic crisis that the Iranian people experience, without even mentioning the extremist laws imposed by the system of government and its overall political and religious makeup.
While the security forces violently confronted the protesters, killing dozens of them and arresting hundreds.

314 protesters, including 47 kids, were slain in the unrest up until Friday, according to human rights activists (Herna).
In the protests that took place in 136 cities, towns, and 134 institutions, at least 14,170 people—including 392 students—were detained.
