Prince Mohammed bin Salman launches the plan for the “Visual City” project

Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, announced the start of infrastructure works and the overall plan for the Visual City project in the region east of the Prophets Mosque.
The project is being carried out by Roaa Al-Madina Holding Company, which is completely owned by the Public Investment Fund and is involved in real estate development in Madinah.

The initiative is an extension of the Fund’s efforts to promote potential sectors in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 strategy.

According to the statement, the Crown Prince confirmed that the project is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives of increasing capacity to facilitate hosting 30 million pilgrims by 2030 and will be implemented in accordance with the highest international standards, reflecting the Kingdom’s desire to raise the level of services provided to pilgrims in Madinah as a modern Islamic and cultural destination. What the Saudi Press Agency SPA reported.

He stated that the project will be built on a total area of 1.5 million square metres, with the goal of establishing 47,000 hospitality units by 2030, as well as open squares and green areas that facilitate visitors access to the Prophets Mosque, as 63% of the project area will be allocated as open areas and green spaces.

The project was designed to the highest international standards, with many integrated transportation solutions, including 9 visitor bus stops, a metro train station, a track for self-driving vehicles, and underground car parks, with the goal of facilitating visitor movement to the Prophets Mosque, which contributes to supporting residential and commercial activity, as well as providing many job opportunities.

The project aims to improve the services provided to pilgrims in Madinah as a modern Islamic and cultural destination by relying on modern urban planning mechanisms, comprehensive development concepts, and advanced infrastructure that provide innovative services, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life and enhancing comfort and luxury, thereby enriching the experience of Madinah residents and visitors.

It will improve the level of service provided to them, as well as increase hotel capacity and service quality east of the Prophets Mosque.

Roaa Al-Madina Holding Company’s strategy is consistent with the Public Investment Fund’s efforts to enable promising essential industries in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.

The plan for the “Visual City” project is unveiled by Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
