Wael Jumaa: Pique’s retirement? Keep the remaining date

Former Egypt manager Wael Jumaa thinks that Gerard Pique’s retirement from Barcelona is a win for everyone because of his three-year decline in technical ability.
Even though some people perceive Pique’s retirement as a loss for the player or the club, Wael Jumaa said in television statements: “The retirement of Pique is a gain for everyone. I confirm that it is a great gain for both parties, especially in light of the financial crisis that is currently plaguing Barcelona.

Pique’s choice to retire, he continued, “came late because his level is drastically falling and that decision had to be issued two seasons ago to protect the remainder of its date.”
Wael Jumaa went on to say: “Due to the fact that it was the worst season in both the club’s and his history, he should have ended his career at the latest at the conclusion of the previous campaign.

“Pique stayed at Barcelona for 15 years and helped the squad win everything, including numerous championships for the Spanish national team. I wish him well because this is the most challenging time for any football player.
