Mauritanian culture launches the first version of the Mauritanian President Award for Fine Arts

The annual President Mohamed Ould El-Ghazwani Award for Fine Arts was inaugurated by the Mauritanian Minister of Culture, Mohamed Ould Asidat, last night, on Wednesday.
The Minister stressed, during a celebration in a hotel in Nouakchott, the importance of fine arts, which is a cultural pillar of the culture of nations and a bridge for communication between peoples, as it is a soft way to market culture and introduce it, as well as its role in economic and social development.

According to Asidat, the President of the Republic has a strong belief in the value of culture in fostering national unity and upholding high ideals. As a result, he gave culture special attention in his election platform, “My Takes,” through which the government hopes to implement its various contents.
He emphasised that the award is exceptional in Mauritanian cultural history because it aims to foster creativity, improve the spirit of competition, and advance these arts.

The first iteration of the Mauritanian President Award for Fine Arts is introduced by Mauritanian culture.
