Moscow warns: The maximum priority avoid war between nuclear powers

The Russian Foreign Ministry declared on Wednesday that preventing a nuclear war that would have “catastrophic repercussions” is of the utmost importance in view of the Russian threats to use nuclear weapons. This comes amid a tense standoff between Moscow and the West over Ukraine.

“We are fully convinced that the most important thing is to prevent any military collision between the nuclear forces in light of the current and disturbed situation, as a result of irresponsible and loving deeds intended to undermine our national security.”
“Give up serious attempts to breach the essential interests of others,” Moscow urged other nuclear states.
She also added that “Russia is strictly guided by the principle that the nuclear war cannot be gained and should not be fought at all.

” But while she said that Moscow’s nuclear doctrine is “a purely defensive nature”, but she warned that she might use these weapons in the event of a nuclear aggression or “when the presence of our state in itself is threatened. ”
The United States, Britain, France, and China were among the major nuclear countries urged in the statement released on Wednesday to “Cooperate to complete this urgent mission.

According to the New York Times, this warning comment was made after US sources disclosed that Russian army chiefs had discussed using tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine. This has Washington and other Western partners worried.
The failings of the Russian military on the ground in some regions of Ukraine may hasten the deployment of nuclear weapons, they added, highlighting the fact that Vladimir Putin’s remarks were more than just threats.

It is significant that Russian President Vladimir Putin has often threatened to deploy nuclear weapons both during and before Russia’s seven-month conflict with Ukraine.
Russia is the largest nuclear force in the world based on the number of nuclear warheads it owns, as it has 5977 warheads, while the United States has 5428, according to the Union of American Scholars.

The American military has roughly 200 tactical nuclear weapons, half of which are stationed in locations in Italy, Germany, Turkey, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The Russian military also has about 2000 tactical nuclear weapons operationally.

Moscow issues a warning: Nuclear war should be avoided at all costs.
