Gantz: The nuclear agreement with Iran affects regional and global security

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz cautioned today, Wednesday, that the nuclear deal with Iran will risk regional and global security, emphasising the need of cutting off Tehran’s support to regional proxies.
According to the Israel Broadcasting Corporation, he also stated that the nuclear agreement will neither restore Iran’s capacity to obtain a nuclear weapon, nor will it place long-term limits on it.

He stated that the goal of his travel to the US, which begins on Thursday, is to send a clear message to the US administration that the deal reached with Iran on its nuclear programme in the Vienna negotiations will have an impact on global and regional security.
Gantz emphasised that Israel is continuing to strengthen its strength and capabilities in order to defend itself in every potential situation.

And yesterday, Tuesday, Benny Gantz affirmed that his government will do all in its ability to influence the nuclear accord, warning the Biden administration that this pact will allow the transfer of $250 billion to militias.
In recent days, Tel Aviv has increased its discussions with US officials as the nuclear talks near their conclusion, and it has also maintained its position on refusing to reach an agreement with Tehran.

It is worth noting that the nuclear agreement has entered its final phases, following gruelling rounds of discussions that began last April in Vienna, to achieve a final European draught that was handed to the Iranian side early this month (August 2022), which reacted with hidden observations.

Currently, the remaining parties to the agreement from which Washington withdrew in 2015 (France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, and Russia) are awaiting the Iranian response to the American response in order to wrap up months of negotiations and announce a new nuclear agreement or possibly another round of talks. . .
