Taiz .. the death and injury of two women and a child with Houthi bombing

Hours after a similar Houthi bombardment left 5 civilians injured, including 2 children and a woman in the Al-Sala district, southeast of the governorate, another woman and a child were killed on Saturday by a Houthi shelling that targeted a residential village in the district of Muqbana, west of Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen.

According to a statement from the combined forces’ military media, the Houthi militia recently perpetrated a horrific crime against civilians by striking a populated region west of Taiz with an artillery shell.
He emphasised that the shelling caused a woman’s death, another woman’s injuries, and the loss of her child.

According to the statement, the Houthi militia fired mortar shells against the neighbourhood and resident residences in Hamar, which is connected to the isolation of Al-Majsheh in the Muqbana region.
The residents confirmed that the mortar shells fell on the house of Yahya Khaled Mohamed, killing his wife, Zubaida Mohamed Thabet, while another woman named Jamila Ahmed Mohamed and her child Abdul -Malik Samir Yahya were injured in separate wounds in their bodies.

Numerous cows and cattle were killed during the Houthi shelling, seriously damaging many people’s homes.
The source claims that the Houthi bombing forced numerous families living in the village of “Hamar” to relocate, and some of those families are still living in open spaces.

And on Friday, the Houthi militia fired artillery shells at the village of “Al-Damina,” which is beneath the district of Al-Salu and to the southeast of the governorate. As a result, 4 civilians were injured, including a child and a woman in her thirties named Zina Abdullah, and the last of them died on Saturday as a result of their wounds.
Since the collapse of the humanitarian ceasefire early last month, the Houthi militia has been accused by the United Nations of war crimes in various parts of Yemen.

Volker Turk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, claimed that since the armistice agreement expired last month, the Houthi faction, which is aligned with Iran, has perpetrated war crimes in Yemen, citing sniper and bombing strikes.
He stated that the United Nations Human Rights Office has been investigating since the end of the armistice, from 3 shelling incidents in government control areas that resulted in the death of a boy and a man and the injury of others, as well as 3 sniping accidents.

According to the UN representative, it is against international law and a war crime to intentionally target people and noteworthy civilians.
He stressed the immediate endowment of such attacks, investigating accidents and holding those responsible for them..
