Thousands demonstrate in Germany in support of Iran’s protests and to demand the help of Ukraine

Thousands of people demonstrated in the city of Cologne in western Germany today, Saturday, in support of the anti -regime protests in Iran and to demand the help of Ukraine, which is ravaged by the Russian war.
This afternoon, several groups participated in a demonstration in the city centre under the banner “March for Freedom,” including the German-Blue and the Ukrainian Blue Cross.

The protesters called for further pressure on the Iranian government to release political prisoners, intensify military aid to Ukraine, and impose stricter sanctions on Russia.

A demonstration in support of the Iranian protests was held today in Berlin, the capital of Germany. According to police estimates, some 150 people gathered at the Brandenburg Gate in the afternoon and about 120 people gathered next to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The number of the two demonstrations that were recorded was substantially higher.

Iran has seen numerous rallies in recent weeks against the government’s stringent policies; these protests were started in response to the murder of the young Muhsa Amini, 22, who passed away in the middle of last year while being held by the ethics police for breaking the clothing code for Muslims.

Thousands turn out in Germany in solidarity of the Iranian demonstrations and to call on Ukraine to assist.
