The Miwa Arena is hosting Mainz’s face against its professional Wolfsburg counterpart in its ranks, the Egyptian star Omar Marmoush, at 4:30 pm, in the 13th round of the German League Championship.

Omar Marmoush’s contract with the Wolfsburg club expires at the end of the current season, or on June 30, 2023. The German club has stated that negotiations between the two parties are ongoing, but the player has not yet made up his mind about his future.

According to the British newspaper “Kicker,” Marmoush is opposed to an extension with Wolfsburg, although club executives in Germany are reportedly trying to convince him otherwise.
Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac is the priority to extend the contract of Marmoush and his teammate, Paulo Otavio, compared to the future of 6 other players within the first football team.

The Egyptian international discussed his football career in a related perspective, describing how it was challenging until he was able to fit in and secure a spot in the Bundesliga for the current season.
“The road was difficult and long, it was not easy to adapt to playing in Europe,” Omar Marmoush said, in televised comments.

“The quality of the players and the performance of the game is much higher than Egypt,” Omar Marmoush continued, “and for that reason I needed time to adapt to the atmosphere, attain the requisite level, and comprehend football here.
“I always considered that I was among the greatest when it came to the ball,” he continued, “but there was a lot of improvement in tactical and physical components.

“I took time to obtain my chance, but I now feel that I am in a much better position since I finally did what I aspired to,” Omar Marmoush said as he wrapped up his speech.
Omar Marmoush participated with the Wolfsburg youth teams, the first team, St. Pauli and Cotottage in the German League.

Omar Marmoush, 23, participated in 14 games with Wolfsburg this season and scored three goals while playing. In 107 games between the teams he played for in Europe, whether the minor teams or the first squad, he scored 27 goals and assisted on 10 others.

Marmoush is looking forward to taking on Mainz in the German League.
