The “Paris-Percy” tournament .. The world classified firstly, Alcaras, withdraws from the quarter-finals

First-ranked tennis player in the world Carlos Alcaras withdrew due to injury during his quarterfinal match at the “Paris-Perysian” event after falling behind 6-3, 6-6 to the young Danish player Holgher Raouni.
After his first defeat, the US Open Champion made the decision to leave the second group run-off early (late 3-1) after seeking medical attention for abdominal pain earlier in the match.

Alcaras hopes that the injury won’t prevent him from competing in the year’s final competition, which starts on the 13th of this month in Turin and features the top eight players.
If Alcaras, 19, wins the championship in Paris, he would retain his position at the top of the world rankings—which he attained after winning “Flaching Midoz” in September—until the end of this year, making him the youngest player to do so.

It is significant that Alcaras’ performance in the semi-finals of the Swiss Basel session last week was his best finish since winning “Flashing Midoz.”
Rawah, 19, who is ranked 18, on the other hand, advanced to the “Paris-Perisy” semifinals where he will play Canadian Felix Oge-Eliasim, the eighth-ranked player in the world and 6-1, 6-4 winner over American Francis Tiavo.
