Ukrainian official: The country has reached the stage of launching an offensive to regain territory

According to Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Mikhailo Podolyak, his nation has reached the point where it must start an operation to retake the territories that Russia has taken, including the Crimea.

In an exclusive interview with Japanese Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) television on Wednesday, Podolyak added that the Ukrainian army is using weapons supplied by the United States of America and other Western nations to concentrate on destroying Russian arms depots and other targets to pressure Russia to withdraw, noting that the aim of the war is to completely restore the Ukraine’s internationally recognised borders.

Podolyak stressed that if additional military aid is given, it will speed up Ukraine’s restoration of its territory. He claimed that Russia has superior firepower due to its abundance of missiles and long-range artillery shells.

According to a Ukrainian official, the nation has reached the point when it will begin an offensive to retake territory.
