Egypt .. The death of Ibrahim Mounir, Acting General Guide of the Brotherhood

News from Al-Madinah: The Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, through its official website, Ibrahim Mounir, the deputy leader and the acting of his acting, who passed away at dawn today, Friday at the age of 85 in the British capital, London, where he spent the last 40 years of age.

According to the declaration, Mounir was one of the call’s most notable persons and a representative of the group.

The Shura Council, the Brotherhood’s top governing body, will try to elect Munir’s successor after his body is buried, a source within the organisation told the Anatolia Agency.
Munir, who was twice imprisoned in Egypt in the 1950s and 1960s of the previous century, assumed the role of Chargé d’Affaires in 2020 as a result of the group’s biggest conflicts with the Egyptian government.

Munir has been residing in London since the 1960s, and he was born in the city of Mansoura (north) in 1937.
