In India .. closing schools from tomorrow due to air pollution

Due to the dangerously high levels of air pollution in the Indian capital, Delhi, local prime minister Erind Kegarioal stated today, Friday, that primary schools would be closing as of Monday.

According to statements made by Kegrioal that were published in English by the Indian NTV channel, activities that take place abroad will be prohibited for grades five through seven until the city’s air quality improves. This suggests that the capital government is considering imposing restrictions on the walking of vehicles in the roads.

For his part, the Minister of Environment in the Indian capital government, Jobal Ray, said that 50% of government employees will work from home, and advised private sector companies to take similar measures.
For the second day in a row, the air quality index in Delhi, the nation’s capital, recorded a “sharp” level of pollution on Friday.

The data of the Central Council for Control of Pollution showed that the air quality index in Delhi recorded 426 “sharp” at about nine thirty in the morning Friday (local time of the country).
Any reading above 400 is dangerous since the air conditioner can make healthy individuals sick and have devastating consequences for those who are already ill.

In India, schools will be closed starting tomorrow owing to air pollution.
