The National Post Authority released a commemorative stamp group to mark the 100th anniversary of the finding of King Tutankhamun’s tomb, one of the monarchs of the 18th family and the most significant Pharaonic archaeological find in the annals of ancient Egypt.

The National Postal Authority was quick to participate in this historic event and document it by issuing a memorial post stamps, including four stamps that review the most significant holdings of the King Tutankhamun cemetery, according to Sharif Farouk, Chairman of the National Post Authority, who claimed that King Tutankhamun’s cemetery is the most notable discovery of the 20th century because it contains the most alluring archaeological treasures worldwide.
The Egyptian Post is always keen on issuing memorial stamps in important events and occasions to immortalise these significant events in the history of the country. Dr. Sharif Farouk added that memorial stamps are a means of cultural communication between the various countries of the world and its peoples, as well as a mirror that reflects the nature of the times for future generations and documents the history of nations throughout the ages.
It is important to note that the 100th anniversary stamp group on the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb consists of 4 stamps, each measuring 5 cm by 6 cm, each of which is a believer against counterfeiting, multicoloured, and valued at 20 pounds. Additionally, each stamp is fitted with QR Code technology, allowing stamp enthusiasts and followers to learn all there is to know about the stamps and the occasion on which they were released.
