Iran responds to the accusations of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister

In response to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister’s charges, the spokesman for the Iranian foreign ministry, Nasser Kanaani, said that passionate words and unfounded accusations will not assist to end the issue in Ukraine. In his remarks on Thursday, Kanani reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s proactive neutrality with regard to the conflict in Ukraine.

The spokesman urged the Ukrainian side to be reasonable, stating: “Ukrainian officials should respond to our country’s constructive proposals to hold a bilateral technical and expert meeting to present their allegations documents. Instead of the projection process and false accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Kanani spoke to the diplomatic efforts made by Iran to find a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian problem ever since the crisis began, firmly denying once more that Iran will provide any weapons or equipment to be used in the fight there and underlining Iran’s willingness to assist in ending the war.
