China launches new satellite to provide remote sensing services

China launched a satellite into space today, which will primarily be utilised to deliver remote sensing services in the domains of land resource management, agricultural resource surveying, environmental monitoring, and urban applications.
According to Xinhua, the Beijing-3B satellite was launched atop a Long March-2D carrier rocket from north China’s Shanxi Province and successfully entered the targeted orbit.
