The Iraqi Prime Minister receives an official invitation from the French President to visit Paris

Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, extended a formal invitation to visit Paris to the prime minister of Iraq, Muhammad Shi’a Al-Sudani.
The French Special President for the Middle East and North Africa Affairs Patrick Doriel and his accompanying party were met by the Sudanese, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office that was obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (conscious).

“The delegation delivered a message from French President Emmanuel Macron to the Prime Minister, stressing the value of bilateral ties and aiming to forge a partnership and cooperation between the two nations. It also included his invitation to visit France, and the Sudanese made a commitment to meet with them as soon as possible.


The necessity to continue bilateral cooperation in accordance with the agreements and memoranda of understanding inked by the two nations was emphasised during the meeting, he stated.
The statement said that the Sudanese emphasised “The significance of working together with the French side to recover the funds that were stolen from Iraq, build the investigative skills of the Integrity Commission investigators, and support the Iraqi health sector.

For his part, Duril emphasised that French President Emmanuel Macron plans to visit Iraq shortly in relation to France’s participation in the (Baghdad Summit) that will take place in Jordan at the end of this year.

The French President extends a formal invitation to the Iraqi Prime Minister to travel to Paris.
