Zellinski: Atomic Agency’s conclusions are “clear” evidence of the absence of a dirty bomb in Ukraine

According to Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski, the IAEA’s “explicit” judgement is “a clear and incontrovertible evidence” that no plans are being made to manufacture a “dirty bomb” in Ukraine.
Zelinski concluded his daily speech by saying, “We have granted us the freedom of full action.”

The Atomic Agency announced Thursday that it had not found any indications of “undeclared nuclear activities” in three locations in Ukraine during searches conducted at the request of Kyiv after Russian accusations of developing a “dirty bomb”.
Rafael Grossi, the agency’s general manager, said in a statement that “our technical and scientific review of the data we have reached so far has not uncovered evidence of unannounced nuclear operations and materials in these three sites.”

The results of the environmental samples taken by the agency’s inspectors would be announced as soon as feasible, he continued.
The inspections came in both the “Nuclear Research Institute” in Kyiv, the “Eastern Mining and Treatment Establishment” in the Joufati Cody and the “Bevidni Machinery Manufacturing Establishment” in Dnibro, after a written request from Ukraine.

Russia has accused Ukraine of preparing to use dirty bombs against Russian soldiers, while Kyiv suspected the possibility that Moscow will use itself to use a dirty bomb, perhaps to justify the use of traditional nuclear weapons in light of its forces being settled.
The “dirty bomb” or radiation bomb comprises of conventional explosions surrounded by radioactive elements that are meant to disperse in the air as the explosion occurs.

According to Zellinski, the assessments of the Atomic Agency provide “clear” proof that there is no dirty bomb in Ukraine.
