The Basic Instinct actress, 64, is undergoing the treatment 21 years after a brain haemorrhage and stroke that nearly claimed her life.
Following a previous medical error, the new growth, which appears in or around the womb, was discovered in her body, and she is now advising her followers to consult a doctor again.
She gave an update on her condition via Instagram Stories, stating that she had undergone a “double epidural” after receiving “just another misdiagnosis and improper surgery.”
The pain grew worse, she continued, and when she sought a second opinion from another physician, they discovered she had a “big fibroid tumour” that “must come out.”

After thanking the audience for their compassion and explaining that she would need between a month and six weeks to heal from the trauma, Sharon concluded, “It’s all good.”
Sharon, mum to sons Roan, 22, Laird, 17, and Quinn, 16, through adoption, told earlier this year how she has lost nine children by miscarriage.
In her 2021 autobiography The Beauty of Living Twice, she talked about her other health issues and said that benign tumours that were “gigantic” and the size of one of her breasts were removed from her body in 2001.
In the same year, she also suffered a stroke and a cerebral haemorrhage.
