Despite their 1-0 victory over the Hungarian Frenkavaruzi on Thursday night, the Turkish Trabzon Sport squad and Egyptian star Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet said goodbye to the European League championships.
In the final round of the group stage of the 2022–2023 European Championship, Trabzon faced off against Frenkavaruzi.
During Trabzon’s formation against Frenkarosy, Trezeguet played a significant role. He stayed on the pitch until the 85th minute, when he was replaced.
Anastasius Pakasitas scored the game’s lone goal in the seventh minute with a beautiful shot that Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet assisted with.
The match that brought the two clubs to the “Louis II” stadium saw the French Monaco defeat Servina Zvezda 4-1 in the same group.
Trabzon Sport will now play in the European Conference league’s elimination round after finishing third in the eighth group of the European League standings with 9 points, trailing only Frenkavaruzi and Monaco, who will end their careers in the Europalege with 10 points each.
With a beautiful strike by Anastasius Pakasitas assisted by Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Trabzon scored the game’s first goal in the seventh minute to make it 1-0.
After a beautiful drive from the edge of the penalty area in the 12th minute, Trezeguet nearly gave Trabzon a second goal, but the ball struck the post.
Youssef Yazichi missed an opportunity to score for Trabzon in the 42nd minute after collecting a feed from Trezeguet inside the penalty area. The Frenkvaruzi goalie saved the shot and turned it into a corner kick.
With an unanswered goal, Turkish Trabzon Sport defeated Frenkavaruzi to win the first half of the game.
Trabzon attempted to double the score again in the second half, but he was unsuccessful.
Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet was replaced in the Trabzon lineup in the 85th minute.
Despite defeating Frenkavaruzi, Trabzon advanced to the European Conference League without a response till the finish of the game.
In the European League, Trezeguet is created, and Trabzon is placed in front of Frenkavaruzi.
