Tigray Agreement .. Abi Ahmed confirms that he will receive all his demands

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed stated that he received “100 percent” of what his government demanded in the agreement signed on Wednesday with the Tigray Liberation Front authorities to end two years of conflict in northern Ethiopia, a day after the announcement of an agreement between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray Liberation Front.

The deal, which was reached in Pretoria where the two parties have been holding discussions since October 25 under the auspices of the African Union, calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities, rebel disarmament, and the distribution of humanitarian relief.
In front of a crowd of supporters in the country’s south, Abi Ahmed declared, “In negotiations in South Africa, 100% of the ideas provided by Ethiopia have been accepted.”

In addition to the idea of “one armed force in one country,” he emphasised that “among the successes we won (according to the agreement) was the approval of the two parties to the sovereignty and unity of Ethiopia.
Although the agreement’s wording was kept confidential, the delegations publicly announced its general terms in a joint announcement. The disarmament of the rebel fighters in Tigray is expressly called for in the accord.

The future of forces in the nation’s regional states or the presence of the adjacent Eritrean army on Ethiopian territory, which significantly assisted the Ethiopian army in Tigray, are not mentioned, nor is he specific about how they will occur.
