Pique made his retirement public by announcing that his final game would be played at Camp Nou on Saturday.

Pique grew up at the Catalan Club Academy “La Masia” before moving to Manchester United in the club’s Sunni groups, and returned to Barcelona in the summer of 2008 in the context of what was described as the revolution that the new coach Pep Guardiola then made.
As he revealed his split from his Colombian companion Shakira and later left the Catalan club’s starting lineup, Pique dealt with issues both inside and outside the stadium this season.
Pique played more than 600 games for Barcelona, winning the King’s Cup, Super Cup, and other Champions League and Spanish League competitions.
