Tevez resigns from the Argentine Rosario Central training

Just four months after taking over as technical director of the Argentine Rosario Central squad, former striker Carlos Tevez announced his resignation, stating, “I am a technical manager and I do not want to enter the realm of politics.”
Tevez started working out with Rosario, an Argentine first-division club, in June of last year, but their time together appeared brief.

The former Argentine striker resigned from his post today, Thursday, after postponing the presidential elections in the club that was scheduled for last week, until next month.
Tevez emphasised that it is in his interest as well as Rosario, who was named the Argentine league champion four times, to move away from the green rectangle amid the uncertainties beyond the field.

Tevez announced at a news conference, “I want to inform Rosario Central fans that I will stand down and will not continue.
“I want to thank the supporters for these nearly five months—four and a half months—of support. The truth is that I do not have words to thank everyone for affection, dedication and sacrifice throughout these months. ”
“I made this decision, I always think about Rosario Central,” Tevez said.

“The young manager made the following statement in reference to the club’s presidential elections: “Since the first day I said that I was not coming to practise politics, and when my name (in politics) was used, this is something that I do not like, they (club presidential candidates) did not talk about a project, they were talking about Tevez.”
“Because I am not from around here and was not born in Rosario Central, as well as because I am a coach and do not like to engage in politics, it is not a fair game for me.

“The elections were supposed to take place last Sunday, but they were postponed until the next month. In the middle of the game, it is a distraction, and we have no idea who we are speaking to. We spent four or five months with folks if they put it off until following year. They did not act well, and they were angry, we dealt with that, with fluctuations between climbing and landing, but we were dealing with it.

” Tevez concluded his remarks by saying: “There is nothing else, as I always said, Rosario Central comes first and not individuals, when they want to put my name in politics, I will not allow this, I always want the best for the club. ”
It is remarkable that Rosario Central, one of the 28 clubs in the Argentine league, is rated twenty in the standings despite having only won seven of the 27 matches it has played thus far.

Tevez leaves the Rosario Central training facility in Argentina.
