In June, Turkey, Sweden, and Finland reached a deal that contained provisions for turning over wanted individuals and exchanging information.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine, which started in February, forced the Scandinavian countries to abandon their long-standing non-alignment policies and demand membership in NATO.
Erdogan also agreed to Olf Christmson’s invitation to visit Turkey at a time when Stockholm is attempting to allay Ankara’s worries.
