Whereas, “the special relationship between the Pope and the Imam al-Tayyib is one of the factors that led to the Pope’s acceptance of the Bahraini invitation, particularly in light of the fact that the Council of Muslim Elders, which is presided over by the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, is one of the principal organisations organising the dialogue forum along with the partners from the Kingdom of Bahrain.

” The forum is organized by the Council of Muslim Elders, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Bahrain, and the King Hamad International Center for peaceful coexistence, within the framework of the Kingdom’s keenness and strategic orientation to extend the bridge of dialogue between the leaders of religions and sects, symbols of thought, culture and media, in cooperation with Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, the Catholic Church, the Council of Muslim Elders and a number of institutions The international is dedicated to tolerance, communication, and coexistence between people.

Scientists at Al-Azhar emphasised the value of the meeting in bridging Eastern and Western perspectives, fostering interreligious understanding, and addressing the risks and problems that mankind faces.
Dr.

Ahmed Hussein, Dean of the Faculty of Da`wah at Al -Azhar University said: “The Bahrain Forum is an extension of the tours of His Eminence the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al -Azhar and the Vatican Papa in the context of strengthening human brotherhood, and for the consequences attended by the Sheikh of Al -Azhar in Europe. ”
The Council of Muslim Elders and Al-Azhar both endorse this and the search for the greatest imam, according to the Dean of the College of Da’wah.

He was grateful for the enormous and ground-breaking efforts made by the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the head of the Council of Muslim Elders, and His Holiness Pope Francis to strengthen and institutionalise communication and cooperation between people, and that through dialogue, they transformed platitudes and theories into the reality that people now experience in the modern world.
