North Korea launches a “non -specific ballistic missile”

In response to Pyongyang’s provocations, South Korea on Thursday claimed that North Korea had launched a “unlimited ballistic missile,” only hours after South Korea said it will continue joint air exercises with the US.
Following a number of prior launch operations on Thursday, including an intercontinental ballistic missile that Seoul claimed appeared to have failed, the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Seoul announced that “North Korea is launching an unnamed ballistic missile.”

Japan responded by confirming that North Korea had fired at least one more missile into the ocean, bringing the country’s total missile launches for the day to at least four.
The launch came on Thursday night an hour after Pyongyang’s threat to respond to the decision of the South Korean and American armies to extend joint air training in response to the intensification of the North Korean missile and nuclear test activities.

Although it did not provide further information, the office of the Japanese Prime Minister claimed that a ballistic missile was suspected.
Along with conducting numerous recent military tests, North Korea earlier on Thursday shot two short-range missiles and an intercontinental ballistic missile at sea.
Experiments with intercontinental ballistic missiles prompted a warning to leave the area and halted train traffic in northern Japan.

According to Pyongyang’s official media, North Korea on Thursday lambasted the United States and South Korea for deciding to prolong the ongoing joint air exercises known as “Alert Storm” and called it a “poor choice.”
The decision to extend the drills was “extremely risky and incorrect.
