Pakistani media: The bomber on Imran Khan acknowledges that he wanted to kill him

Today, Thursday, Pakistani media stated that the bomber who targeted former prime minister Imran Khan admitted that he wanted to kill him and claimed that he had acted on his own.
Imran Khan, a former prime minister of Pakistan, was shot in the foot today while speaking at a political event. The attack, which the Pakistani president called a “heinous assassination attempt,” left Imran Khan injured but in stable condition.

Since last Friday, Khan has been making his way from Lahore to the capital, Islamabad, as part of a campaign to demand new elections after he was disqualified from his position in April.
Raouf Hassan, a senior Khan assistant, told Agence France Presse that Khan was injured when he fired from the crowd near the city of Googranwala.

His status is stable, and this was an effort to kill him or assassinate him, he continued, saying that one of the attackers was dead and another had been taken into custody.
The shooting was called a “heinous assassination attempt” by Pakistani President Aref Ali in a message on the social media platform “Twitter.”
He wrote: “I thank him that he is fine, but he was hit by a few bullets in his leg, which is a critical injury.

“Islamic activists and politicians have been targeted in recurrent assassination attempts in Pakistan for decades.

According to Pakistani media, Imran Khan’s bomber confessed to wanting to kill him.
