One of Imran Khan’s advisers verified the arrest of a second suspect and the death of one suspect in the attempted assassination of Khan, while Pakistani media stated that three officials of the Equity Party were shot while attending a political rally, injuring them.
Imran Khan, a former prime minister of Pakistan, was shot at earlier on Thursday while he was attending a meeting in Gogranwala, according to Imran Khan’s party spokesman.
The leader of the Equity Movement, Asaad Omar, said that Imran Khan was hit by a bullet in his foot, after an unknown gunman fired, and Khan was transferred from the gathering site of Gogranwala to Lahore for treatment.
Shahbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, denounced the attempt on Imran Khan’s life and demanded that the interior minister give a report on the incident as once.
For a brief period, video scenes of the shooter’s arrest on Imran Khan were in circulation.
