To launch an intercontinental missile … Washington is urging the strengthening of the sanctions imposed on North Korea

The US has urged all nations to tighten the sanctions placed on North Korea since it launched an intercontinental ballistic missile in defiance of UN Security Council resolutions.
The National Security Council spokeswoman Adrian Watson said that the United States strongly condemns the North Korean Republic to test it an intercontinental ballistic missile, confirming what South Korea announced about the launch process early Thursday.

She continued by saying that President Joe Biden and his national security staff are closely coordinating with friends and partners to assess the situation.
Ned Price, a spokesperson for the US State Department, stated that this action, which came after the shooting of a rocket of any type the day before, constitutes a “clear violation” of the UN Security Council resolutions forbidding the launch of continent-spanning ballistic missiles.

Price continued by saying that the launch activities demonstrate North Korea’s threat to the country’s neighbours, the wider region, international peace and security, and the system aimed at stopping the spread of nuclear weapons.
He added that this act confirms the need of all countries to fully implement the decisions of the UN Security Council related to the Republic of North Korea, which aims to prevent them from obtaining the techniques and materials necessary to conduct these destabilizing tests.

Perlis did not name any particular nations, but Pyongyang’s main economic and political supporter is China.
China and Russia used the veto in May against an attempt to lead the United States to impose more sanctions on Pyongyang due to a previous wave of missile launch..

Washington is advocating the tightening of sanctions placed on North Korea in order for them to launch an intercontinental missile.
