In order to ensure the supply of drinking water and the rehabilitation of the affected energy infrastructure as the winter is approaching, the Swiss government announced on Wednesday of 100 million dollars in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
According to a statement from the Swiss Federal Council, an action plan was created to lessen the effects of the winter, which is predicted to be harsh for the people of Ukraine.
According to the passage, Switzerland will invest 100 million Swiss francs (or one dollar) in this project.
These money will be used, particularly to subsidise initiatives aimed at swiftly repairing the nation’s energy infrastructure.
The strikes against these supply and infrastructural networks in recent weeks, the Federal Council continued, have worsened the humanitarian situation for the war-affected population.
The statement continued: Given the challenging circumstances in Ukraine, the nation requires more foreign aid; hence, Switzerland has been sent to assess additional relief supplies, including generators, pumps, and water treatment facilities.
According to the government, it requested $76 million from Parliament to assist pay for additional expenses.
