Pyongyang launches ballistic missiles and Japan calling on residents to take shelter

According to the Japanese government’s early emergency warning system, when North Korea launched ballistic missiles, the government advised people of the provinces of Miaji, Yamata, and Nanga to seek refuge in enclosed areas.
The missile shaved the Japanese territories as it travelled into the Pacific Ocean, as the authorities had already verified.

Despite the warnings given to the inhabitants of specific shelter places, the missile did not fly over Japan, according to the Japanese Defense Minister Yasukazo Hamada.
The warning was sent since it was known that the missile was expected to fly over the Japanese archipelago, according to Hamada.
The missile, he said, “disappeared over the Sea of Japan, not across the Japanese archipelago, as we had previously determined after validating the intelligence.

Earlier on Wednesday, Pyongyang fired more than 20 missiles, one of which landed close to South Korea’s territorial waters. On Thursday, Sol reported that North Korea had launched three ballistic missiles.
The South Korean army said in a statement that it had monitored “a long -range ballistic missile believed to be fired towards the East Sea at approximately 07. 40 am (22,40 GMT) of the Sonan region of Pyongyang,” referring to the sea also known as the Sea of Japan.

He continued, “What they believe are two short-range ballistic missiles fired nearly 08.39 am from Kaicon in the southern province of Pyongan,” was also briefly observed.
The South Korean army “maintains a full alert while cooperating closely with the United States and increasing monitoring and vigilance,” the statement emphasised.

According to local media, the sirens were sent off on the island of Olungdo in eastern South Korea, where residents had also been advised to seek refuge on Wednesday following the passage of a North Korean ballistic missile between the two nations.
