The Moroccan Prime Minister discusses with the World Bank delegation to develop the partnership between the two sides

Together with Jesco Heinchle, the bank’s regional director for the Maghreb and Malta, and Farid Belhadj, the World Bank Group’s vice president for the Middle East and North Africa, Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhenouch discussed the value of the partnership between Morocco and the World Bank Group as well as ways to strengthen and develop it.

In addition to examining the difficulties facing the world’s economy in the wake of recurrent crises, the meeting covered a review of preparations for hosting the Moroccan city of Marrakech, the annual meetings of the World Bank Group, and the International Monetary Fund.

The World Bank’s delegates lauded Morocco’s illustrious path, particularly in the areas of significant social reforms, chief among them the expansion of social protection and the growth of the green and digital economy.

The World Bank delegation and the Moroccan Prime Minister debate ways to strengthen their cooperation.
