A new outcome of the victims of Iran’s protests … 287 people, including 46 children

As Iran’s protests continue for a second month in a row, the number of fatalities has increased. Human Rights reported that 16 protestors had been slain by security forces in the Kurdish cities of western and northwestern Iran during the course of the previous five days.
According to the Iranian News Agency for Human Rights (Harana), 287 protesters have died, including at least 46 kids.

According to “Hranna” data, 300 university students were among the 14,161 demonstrators that were detained.
It is significant that these protests started on September 16, the day Muhsa Amini, a young Kurdish woman of 22, died. This was three days after she was detained in Tehran by the so-called “Ethics Police” for “wearing unsuitable clothing” and going against the conservative woman’s dress code. Since the start of the 1980s, the nation has been enforced.

Her passing has stoked the nation’s fury over a number of issues, including the limitations placed on individual freedoms and stringent regulations governing women’s attire, as well as the country’s ongoing living and economic crisis, not to mention the rigid regulations imposed by the regime and its political make-up in general.
Women played a prominent role in these protests, and protesters shouted and burned them.

While enraged mobs demanded for the overthrow of leader Ali Khamenei, others too underwent public hair cuts.
Those demonstrations that prevailed in all parts of the country during the past days and still comprehensively formed the largest protests since those that came to protest the fuel prices in 2019, and the time of the killing of 1500 people (according to Reuters) had been killed in repression campaigns against the demonstrators.

This prompted the authorities to strictly deal with the demonstrators, and to beat an iron hand on what they described as “rioters”.
Despite this, despite Khamenei’s passing, rallies, strikes, and anti-Tehran government chanting persist in most Iranian cities.
