Erdogan announces the resumption of work with the transmission agreement across the Black Sea

News from Al-Madinah: Days after Russia suspended the arrangement, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan proclaimed the restoration of the grain transport route from Ukrainian ports, as he had in the past.
This was stated in a speech made on Wednesday at the meeting of the “Justice and Development” party’s parliamentary grouping in the country’s capital, Ankara.

Erdogan said that about the grain corridor, he spoke on the phone with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, yesterday and that he will do the same with his Ukrainian counterpart, Voludmir Zellinski, today.
He continued, “Those who criticize the balanced policy that Turkey has pursued towards the Russian -Ukrainian crisis a few months ago, they now take us as an example around the world.

” “After my conversation with Putin yesterday, Russian Defense Secretary Sergey Shoigu called the Turkish Defense Minister Khulusi Akar, and announced that from 12:00 pm today, the shipments of grain will continue as planned in advance. ”
He emphasised that he and his Russian colleague had decided to activate the grain corridor first for the benefit of the underdeveloped nations of Africa.

After his speech at the meeting of the Parliamentary Bloc of Justice and Development, Erdogan received a question from the journalists about how to persuade the Russian president to refrain from the decision to suspend the grain transfer agreement.
In this regard, Erdogan said: “Leave this topic to me; I will first explain this to US President Joe Biden and then I teach you this.”

The secure passageway designated by the Black Sea initiative for the transportation of grains has been suspended, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, “because to its use by Ukraine in fighting military operations against Russia.”
On July 22, Istanbul witnessed the signing of the “Document of the Safe Shipping initiative for grains and foodstuffs from Ukrainian ports”, between Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations.

The agreement included securing grain exports in the Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea (eastern Europe) to the world, to address the global food shortage crisis that threatens a humanitarian catastrophe.
