News from Al-Madinah: Today, Wednesday, at the Arab Summit in Algeria, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed that his country supports Arab unity and works to find solutions to shared problems.
He emphasised that geopolitical tensions signal a threat to the ability of the globe to address problems, highlighting the need for Arabs to unite around common goals and seek to improve the Arab League structure.
In addition, he stressed the rejection of the expansion and dominance strategy at the expense of others and noted that others are not permitted to impose their beliefs on the Arab countries, saying that external intrusions and militias demand measures to resist them.
Additionally, he stressed the significance of Arab integration to meet food demands and said that the Kingdom wants to achieve economic integration, which is crucial for Arab countries.
He emphasised that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 aims to support development in friendly nations in this framework.
He emphasised his support for the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital in regard to the Palestinian issue.
Regarding the Yemeni issue, he stated that the Kingdom backed the UN envoy’s efforts to extend the cease-fire, highlighting the necessity of maintaining international pressure to bring about peace in Yemen.
